Hire Terms

By hiring from us you are agreeing to these Hire Terms

PAYMENT
We require a deposit payment of 50% of your hire fee (excluding bond) in order to book your event date. For orders $200 and under the amount is required to be paid in full. This payment is refundable up until 6 weeks prior to your event date. Full payment and your security bond is due 6 weeks prior to your event date.

CANCELLATIONS

6 weeks or more before your event date: We will refund 100% of any payments made.
If you cancel within 6 weeks of your event date: We will refund 75% of your total order, and 100% of your security bond.

SECURITY BOND
A $200 security bond is required on all orders and is refundable assuming goods have been returned in the condition they were hired. The customer will be liable for any damage caused during shipping for items that were not carefully packaged for return to us.

DAMAGE/LOSS
Any damage or loss of hire items must be paid for by the hirer at a fee determined by Kittyhawk. The fee amount will be deducted from your bond, and additional fees may be due if the fee is higher than the bond paid. I​f an hire item arrives damaged it is your responsibility to inform us on the day of receipt, otherwise you will be held liable for any damage to the items.

CLEANING
Please do not attempt to clean the items (in particular acrylic surfaces) as you may unintentionally do more harm than good. We will clean the items with specialist products upon their return.

DELIVERY
Items are delivered by our courier on business days during business hours to any home or business address. Someone will need to be available to receive the delivery. We will work out a suitable delivery day for you that has at least a few days padding before your event (usually 3 days prior). After hours delivery is available for an additional fee.

RETURN
Hire items need to be returned on the next business day after your event. Your fee includes our courier picking up the items from any home or business address. Please keep all packaging that you received your items in so you can carefully package the items for their return. You will be liable for any damage caused to items in transit that were not packaged sufficiently.

We recommend someone is there to meet the driver as you will be liable for theft of any items if they are left unattended outside your home.

LATE FEES
Items that are returned late will be subject to additional fees determined by Kittyhawk.
